The mitigation measures table below allows you to explore practical and theoretical ideas for reducing or avoiding conflict between people and  macaques.

These resources are works in progress! New projects and ideas will be added regularly. If you would like to contribute, please contact us

Tip: use the filter, sort and search functions at the top of each table to find exactly what you need - or just browse using the scrollbar at the side. Click on an item for more detail!

Do you work to mitigate negative interactions between macaques and humans?

The Macaque Coalition aims to help people and projects find the information and contacts they need to effectively protect macaques. Solutions to conflict between people and wildlife are always context-specific, but what works for you in one situation could be useful in others, or successfully adapted.

Please do contact our coordinator if you would like to help by telling us about what works for you. Just email macaques@asiaforanimals.com.
